Designing our own family home was both exciting and daunting. The Shed began with a clear intention to create a practical, robust house that would genuinely support the day-to-day life of a young family.

The brief called for a home that could actively encourage muddy boots and outdoor living, while also offering moments of refuge and warmth. Conceived as a flexible and welcoming place, the house balances cosy, intimate spaces with the ability to easily host large gatherings of family and friends.

Imagined as a canvas for a lifetime of memories, The Shed reflects our belief that the most enduring homes are those designed to be lived in fully. After nearly a year in Robertson, the house has settled into its setting and into the rhythms of family life.
